The artwork in this game is awesome. It makes those other (ridiculously overpriced) hex and counter wargames look even more fugly than they already are. I can't wait to see the final product!

They are photos of miniatures from 19th Century Miniatures.

The counters look even better in hi-res. Uwe will post some nicer images in the near future.

Vaguely off-topic, but a little on-topic:

I realize that die-hard ASL traditionalists would have a hissy-fit over any sort of dramatic changes to the style of counters, but couldn't MMP have done SOMETHING to bring them into the 21st century? Compared to these (and counters from many other games/publishers), ASL squads are positively drab.

I once made similar comments on an ASL topic list. You wouldn't believe (or maybe you could) the flaming I received. zombie
