You know, I've never actually seen A&A minis used with real terrain- I kind of like it!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Technically, I think the open topped turret makes that a tank destroyer, not a true tank.

We don't uses hexes. I have some pre-measured pipe cleaners:

2" = Black
4" = Red
6" = Blue
etc.

We play where 2" on 3D terrain = 1 hex on paper maps.

Can you tell me the source of the buildings?
And do they have removeable roofs so you can put units in them?
The trees look pretty durable, as well. Where would I find those?

I have a mish-mash of various buildings and trees. Most of the buildings open to allow the placement of soldiers inside. Some are from the miniature building authority and I think most of them were in boxed sets although I cannot remember the product name. They were all pre-painted.

The trees are an assortment from model train stores and game stores. I have been picking up stuff from discount tables for a long time so I have slowly built up a nice collection of terrain from scouting lots of stores. Sorry, I know that is not much help.
