I built this in the Lego Digital Designer and ordered it from the Lego factory. It was smaller than I thought it would be. It's less than 5" tall and about 7" wide. After the initial testing I had to make some changes to the design to keep dice from getting stuck, but overall I'm very happy with the result.

The premise was an idea I got from another user on the geek who made a pyramid based dice tower that had a large tray around it. I really liked the pyramid idea, but wanted a single exit point. So, this has a pyramid with four ramps that lead down to one central ramp that comes out in the front.

The tray is actually removable because the overhang on the front is low enough it can be difficult to get to the dice in the tray. I did have to buy some smaller dice, but I found some I really liked so it didn't bother me too much

That's pretty sweet. I didn't even know you could order from Lego like that. Good work.

Thanx The Lego Digital Designer is a free download from the Lego website. It's fun to play with. If I'd had this as a kid, my parents would have spent a LOT more money on Lego.

So what did it cost you (assuming you had to order all the parts)?

haha, that is crazy looking Good work! Yes, it can be hard to gauge how big stuff will be when you get it completed. I was kind of surprised too when I built my first one.

It wouldn't have been cheap. Although I see a lot of holes so there's some savings. I forget the price per brick but the custom Lego is expensive.

It's about 10 cents per piece, which is not much more than regular LEGO sets. Bigger sized pieces are significantly more expensive.

I think it was $40 total shipped. The changes were minor and probably would have actually lowered the price.

When I saw this image I downloaded the program and have been playing with it ever since. It's so much fun. I've almost completed Kumamoto Castle--not that that has anything to do with games...
