Deciding which morning and night actions make the most sense given Levasseur's lack of food and poor position

I probably would go for the food/forward card: discard one gunpowder to load one food, move 4 fields foward, taking the shortcut and landing on the one-food field (hidden behind the red ship).
You overtake blue and yellow and only lose one powder and pay one food.

Of course, doing so, you use up a food action for only one token in return, but I believe it's worth the price here. Especially when you consider the other cards yuk

What did you do ?

Cheers

Bingo. That was the best I could do with what I had to work with.

We're having a lot of fun playing the game and I keep talking it up to all of my gaming friends. I just can't say enough about the artwork. I want to thank you for uploading the draft sketches of the card artwork. I think it's fantastic to see some behind the scenes effort on games. Great stuff. Thanks.
