The army was painted by one of my fellow gamers, Rett. Thank you for all the time you poured into these! My friend Jonathan and I photographed them. We still have four more armies to produce for the collection to be complete.
These pieces are from 2 different Samurai sets offered by Zvezda. The mounted Diamyo came from the Samurai Warriors- Cavalry set and the rest are from the Samurai Army Infantry set. Each army requires 6 Samurai Army Infantry sets to get the minimum number of spearmen (36), making a total of 30 sets. Not too light on the wallet, but it will be worth it if I can ever finish all of them.
I will also likely need an oversized game board to fit all of these.
You can do a search on Google's products page, and it will usually give you the best price. The two primary sets are the Zvezda 8017 (Infantry) and 8025 (Cavalry) sets. Obviously, you don't need to buy the cavalry set to play the game, but that is where the mounted Daimyo figure above came from. If that's too much work for you, check out the site below. Their prices aren't always the best, but their selection is amazing.
