The cardboard components and the box is printed in the same time. Now how'd you expect us to have photo of final components to place it on the box
I saw the components when I was in the factory - they're relly nice. The cardboard is very thick (2mm), top notch quality. Cards and wood are the same quality as 2nd edition of Galaxy Trucker or League of Six (aka both much better than 1st editions).
Yes, together with the component list and this short description:
Space Alert is a team survival game. Players take on the role of a crew of space explorers sent out through hyperspace to survey a dangerous sector of the Galaxy.
The pace of the game is set by 10-minute soundtracks on included CDs (or by scenario cards, if you don’t have a CD player). During these 10 minutes, the crew must defend the ship while it scans the enemy sector. If they succeed, the ship brings back valuable data. If they fail… it is time to train a new crew.
Players do not compete against each other. Instead, they work together against the challenge presented by the game. The difficulty of this challenge can be chosen by the players themselves. Completing the most difficult missions requires close teamwork.
When I read the rules (which are absolutely great, BTW - I can't wait to get the game!) I thought it seemed strange that you could only use the heroic action card in the first phase. In this picture they are clearly being used in the second phase (and they can't have been 'pushed' there by a delay because all the preceding spaces are filled) - is the picture wrong, or have I misread the rules?
EDIT: I had misread the rules. I missed the line that said "You end the first phase by picking up your second phase cards (and adding them to the cards left over from the first phase)"
a heck of a lot of bits for a '10 minutes' game! can't wait, have it preordered for a friend to pick up at Essen.
As I understand it, the missions are 10 minutes each, and a single game usually consists of three missions.
Nope. We simply put 30 minutes on the box since you need to prepare the game as well as play it (10 min), evaluate it (another 10), argue with each other what went wrong (5+ min ), than pack the game back to the box. In most cases, however, you'd want to play 3-4 games in a row. It's that challenging game.
