One slight problem with the excellent glass fuel canisters is that they roll around.

So, I decided to make this little holder out of fimo.

How did you get that "aged metal" look to the fimo? I'm used to the "boring primary color" look.

I'm not sure if this one is done by drybrushing, but that is one way to do this. Drybrushing (in this case) means that you paint the block solid black, let it dry. Then take just a bit of the deepest gray you are using and dry the brush with paper. Now with just a hint of gray on the brush you take several gentle strokes on the block and once again let it dry - then you'll take a bit lighter gray and do the same thing but with even dryer brush and gentler strokes... Rinse and repeat (you can go all the way from black to white, but to get a darkish look you should use just two or three grays).
