Really? I don't understand that at all. Even puppylovers should like it. It's funny. Learn to laugh or get off of BGG. People like funny things here. Like puppy eating.
I think this picture is quite funny and original, but it's received such an inordinate amount of thumbs that it's become the foremost image for a game that is (at best) tangentially related to it. I find this a bit silly.
I also think there should be more games that actually feature this sort of humor, where the mechanics themselves imply something... ... not explicitly stated

Some people have even suggested a "cannabalism variant" where population can get coverted to food. Problem is, we spent waay to much time arguing what the conversion should be (I think we settled on lose 2 pop to gain 1 food)
