My RoboRally family. I tried to give each a distinctive color that matched player favorite color to favorite robot. And painting the arrow on the floor yellow was a huge help!
Same here. Plays up to 8, which is nice and it is a lot of fun.
I demo'd this at GenCon in '07 and decided I was going to buy it. I was actually hoping to win a copy in a big raffle they had at the WotC area (some big brain thing that was useless). They had a selection of games and if you came up and put a donation in, someone manning the camera in the brain would value how many tickets your donation was worth. RoboRally was on the pile. I didn't win.
However, when my friend and I went to the car, the guy that did win was hocking all the boosters he won from the back of his car because all of the stuff wouldn't physically fit in his car. I asked about the RoboRally and he said "Yeah, I think I got that one... Here it is. $20.00 sound good?"
Just a reminder that these are NOT the robots you get with the most recent printing of the game by Avalon Hill (which are plastic but can still be painted).
These robots are metal miniatures that came in the 2nd Edition from Wizards of the Coast.
Very cool, much nicer than mine came out! RoboRally robots were among the very few miniatures I ever felt compelled to paint. I also painted mine with the yellow arrow on the base, very helpful indeed!
It's also fun seeing different people's different color choices for the robots. I hypothesize that the little tank is usually green and has less color variation than the other robots.
