Was this a final production version? The tiles seem to have very rough and sharp edges. Compare this to RRT or AoS where the tiles have an almost rounded top edge to them. How thick are they?
Not a final production. Not sure how the final production will compare (thickness of hexes, etc.). I've never played A.O.S. or Railroad Tycoon, so compare game pieces or gameplay. But I can say that I really enjoyed the game and I'm excited about playing my own copy once it's available.
I believe that Morgan (sisteray) told us that the final version is at the printer's right now. So the April due date seems to still be accurate.
This looks fantastic. I wasn't sold from the box back before.
Edit: After having actually played the game several times, I find the use of so much background imagery to be annoying. It's too hard to see what it even is and it just looks busy. The map and track itself is great and the choice to use non-goods colors for the player markers is excellent.
Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him. 2 Sam 14:14
Congrats on getting your photo on the front, Rob! When I saw it, I immediately recognized it as the one you took that day.
