Hey very cool - does the box say Newfound Creek, Alabama? Is there a date for the photo?

It does say "Newfound Creek Alabama". I was searching for interesting train locations in Alabama when I discovered and was inspired by this impressive photo.

Learning more about it; I found out that it had some weighty numbers. At 650 feet (200m) long and 115 feet (35m) high, it was the tallest wooden trestle in the Southeast and also the tallest wooden structure in the state.

...but then

I wanted to create my own historical cover that had a similar feel to the postcard or advertisement that was used for the 18FL box.

So I came up with a thumbnail sketch for the layout and set about to accurately CAD the bridge and train for a rendering. So to answer your question, it's not a photo, it's a CG shot. Instead of oranges I used the Alabama state flower the Camellia.

Very nice, I never knew there was a trestle like that in Alabama.
