Agreed. I'd take the prototype over the published board.

[edit: on second thought I love the published board too. The published version is not over-designed. But I like the spareness of the prototype.]

I think it's the prototype's higher contrast. The published board is just right in content, but a little low in contrast.

Yea, it could be more discernable, but I love the art. I wish there was a happy medium.
