...Minerva sat, basking in the glow of victory (made more precious by the fact that it was won without the aid of hands), and contemplated her future conquests...
I would think any contest, especially involving war, with someone named Minerva is asking for it. Especially if she brings along her friend Victoria/Nike.
Kevin- What were you thinking when you wrote that? The reason I don't have a "Christian" microbadge is because I say stupid things all the time... keep that in mind.

It is said you don't really know someone until you barley know them. I've known a few people to the barley level, but for the most part, my friends reside at the wheat level, sometime getting as deep as rye.

I'd appreciate if you didn't, thanks.
Nice comeback, Jesse. What are you playing these days now that DDM is pretty much done?
Mike! How have you been doing?
I have jumped head first into board games. I mostly like really deep, economic euros, but some of the more mainstream wargames also work for me. I see that you also like Command & Colors: Ancients. I am amused at the many tactical parallels between DDM and C&C: Ancients. Have you noticed them too?
Are you mostly into board games these days or have other items caught your interest?

Sorry. I had to call you on that one, bro.
Thanks for doing it for me, when you plaster your religion on a microbadge you had better adhere to its laws and such, otherwise your just creating a bad name for what ever religion your touting.
That being said, great image, whenever I hear Minerva I think of the Deftones song!

Mostly because she likes Minerva better than Becky.
Edit: It is a long story, but that is basically what it amounts to. Its not really my place to explain it, and I am not sure how much she really wants broadcast about it on the comments list to a picture on a board game site.

OP: What side was she playing?
She was playing the Soviets. I have been playing games for a lot longer than her so I usually play the disadvantage side in games that have such sides.
She got her name legally changed in the last few weeks.
She plays wargames, including Commands & Colors: Ancients, and she changed her name to that of the Roman goddess of war? She is a hard core gamer! You better watch out.

I have a friend that doesn't sport a Christian emblem on his car for a similar reason. He said to me, "I don't want people to think all Christians are a-holes when they observe my driving."
My reply was,"Too late."
He laughed a hearty laugh knowing I will burn eternally.

And the reason I don't have a "Christian" microbadge is that I'm not a hypocrite.

This is way too intriguing to ignore. You are, of course, free to abstain from comment.
I have 4 working theories in order of likelihood: There's a Becky in her past. There's a Becky in your past. There's someone stalking her. There's someone she's stalking.
That game is great, I rated it 10... plays quick and has plenty of "replability" in that you can mix and match the opposing armies, the 24 terrain boards when you need 4 to make a map and the randomness of the cards and setup (if you don't go with the suggested set-up every time)... the game could be played in tandem side by side in as many as four 2-player games if eight people wanted to play it.
The 10:100 system is not a personal attack on you!

I hardly think this guy saying "I'd do her." creates any worse a name than, oh say, The Crusades!

As points go for putting things in comparative light, this is one of the worst. This behavior is in fact worse due to relevance. We have no control over the acts people in the past. We do have control over ourselves.

This is how she looked during most of the game. She usually expects that I will win most games we play by coming behind or doing something sneaky to win. On top of that I had a slightly better board position than her. (I controlled South America, dominated Africa and Asia, and had her in a stalemate position in Europe, while she was in a better position in the Middle East and Central America.) So she was pretty happy to pull it out for the first time ever. Though she followed her win up by insisting once again that the Wargames card was lame and a stupid way to win....
Damn, wish I could get my partner to play ANY boardgames with me, Boggle is about her lot. Thank god my 17 year old son plays me in board games. And did I read she also plays Command and Color: Ancients!! My fav game.

And this made by an iPhone, I'm impressed - I remember the day when mobile phone cams mad 100x300 pixel images that were mostly blurry and out of focus...
