I'm going to have to agree. I despise this sort of creativity and humor. I believe this site should only contain pictures of board games. There should be no pictures of people, painted figures, or modified game pieces.

I'm not particularly offended by the OP, but surely you can recognize that scatalogical humor has pretty limited appeal. Unless, of course, you're in the third grade... then, it's a riot.
While I didn't find it funny, I didn't find it offensive either. However, I did watch a Lexus SUV burn in the parking lot of my store the other day (which is in a fairly wealthy town in CT), and that was HILARIOUS and beautiful at the same time.

First of all, I want to point out how funny it is that you open with "I didn't say this picture is offensive" and then follow that with "it is disgusting". You do know that to be disgusted you must first be offended.
Second, the picture is stupid? I and thankfully many other bggers, based upon the thumb count, find the picture to be creative and funny. They took the time to make a game piece for their friend and at the same time poked a little fun at him. Perhaps he has bad gas at the table a little too much. Perhaps his farts are so bad and so powerful that they are able to power a city. That's not stupid, that's low-brow creativity.
Third, how is it distasteful? You people do realize it's an illustrated person right? The little cloud isn't what an actual fart looks like. It's not as if he's spreading his butt cheeks open and letting out a shit. We can't see his nut sack or anything. It's a god damn cartoon image of a naked man's ass! Don't be such a prude. I swear to god I'm going to upload a picture of my penis being used as a tiger tank in Tide of Iron, then you'll see this picture as harmless.

First off, to the original poster, nice work. That kind of extra effort and thought says to your friend that you truly enjoy his company, and will go out of your way to say it.

As far as the above quote, I'm rather shocked and saddened. My life would be a much more somber event if I didn't find farts pretty funny. How else can you guaruntee a few heartly chuckles EVERY DAY of your life? Next thing you'll be telling me that people falling down isn't funny...

I don't care who it upsets... this picture makes me laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME I see it. I chuckle just thinking about it. I hope it stays on the front page for months because I could use the laugh.
If it were my birthday and I had my friends around the table for a game of Power Grid and that card flips up when refilling the market, I think that I would shower the room in the beverage I'm drinking. That is hilarious!

Farting is a part of mankind - it's been here forever, and finding humor in it (especially in an unexpected context, like this boardgame piece) is part of what separates us from being an animal.
