Because it's SO much more practical and cost-effective to print out 500 cards then to actually buy the game. Sure, why not.
Btw, the Harem looks even uglier in better resolution. There's something seriously wrong with the orange-haired woman's head. And what's with the leaky eyes and lopsided mouth on that half-face in the close-up?

Exactly, I really enjoy the game and wouldn't try to undermine the publisher. This is only for reference and to be able to actually see the cards in a semi usable manner.
I think most people will buy it even more so. I got mine the first day it was out AND have turned on many other people to the game. Besides if you wanted to print your own, you could have done that before now.

I bet you I can use ArtsCow and get it cheaper than the $50 retail...
So, the Bridge talks about the cost of cards in player's hands...Is there a card that lets you buy cards from a player's hand that it can be used in conjunction with?

It is mostly for cards like Mine, Remodel, and the new Upgrade which refer to the cost of cards in your hand before you replace them with something else.
Cards can't go below zero though, so if you could somehow manage to play three Bridges and a Mine in a turn, you could turn a copper into a Harem or Gold. That'd be a fun story.

Ten packs at ~5 bucks plus shipping?
1. You'd run the risk of artscow making a mistake. 2. You can get this game online for less than 50. 3. You wouldn't get the nice box and insert. 4. You wouldn't get a nice set rules. 5. You'd have to deliberately want to screw over RGG.

I'll take that bet, You'd need ten 54 card decks at $12.99 each to print the 500 cards you need so that'd be $129.90 and that's without Shipping.
I suppose if you just wanted to print the 258 Kingdom Cards (there's 4 Victory cards of which there are 12 copies)you could print 5 decks for $64.95. BUT, Dominion cards are standard European size, not the same ratio as the cards available on Artscow. So you couldn't really print just the 25 Kingdom Cards to play with your original set anyway.
Don't forget print quality issues, note that you want to upload an image that is 780x1081 for decent print quality on Artscow and the largest these cards are is 390x586. They are 300 dpi, so they don't get too pixelated on screen, but you will see the lower quality in print. Also, to fit the ratio correctly you have to stretch them out.
So no, it's cheaper just to pay retail at your FLGS or order it on the internet which even with shipping is less than the Suggested retail of about $50.
Oh and to clarify, Artscow's prices for a double-side printed deck of 54 cards is $12.99 for quantities in 3-10. You'd have to order 101 decks to get the price down to $9.99 per deck.
They do have Single Sided printing, but that only let's you customize the card Back, you'll get the Standard Poker deck printed on the face...
Artscow frequently runs specials, so you could hope to print a deck for $5 and that's shipped. Still, this would cost you $50 since you'd need 10 decks worth and the quality would be far lower, not to mention you could BUY the game for less than $50. Maybe someone's thinking they just want the new kingdom cards? That's 250 cards which equals 5 decks from Artscow. $25. A brand new copy of the game will run you around $30-$35. You've saved money! Your cards are crappy though and you've gone to a lot of work (and setting up that many decks on the Artscow site IS work) just because you had some grudge against Rio Grande. No, any way you cut it, it just doesn't make much sense to consider your own game here.

Mine, Remodel, and Upgrade? Check out Swindler and Saboteur. Two Bridges and a Swindler you can replace people's Estates or other 2-cost cards with Curses.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Hexachlorophene J. Goodfortune, Kidnapper-At-Large, and Devourer of Tortoises par Excellence, at your service.
If you can read this, then this sentence is false.

By the time you have that combo running consistently, they'll have much better things to swindle than Estates. So you'll need even more Bridges. And by the time you have that combo running, they'll have won the game.
The primary utility of Bridge is just to be a Woodcutter on steroids. The combo possibilities are simply that: possibilities.

Someone who pays full retail for this game is probably not aware enough to realize artscow even exists.
Now I take exception to that. SOME of us prefer to support our FLGS, especially if they hold regular events and allow people to use their space to play games.
I won´t buy this expansion just for its pictures. If they wanted to save some bucks with that, they should have transated it to the price at least. Terribly wrong.
