Huh, I wonder if some of these minis could be used as Lt's in Descent: The Road to Legend?

As there are "nearly 200" miniatures in the Runewars box (compared to the 80 in Descent, I suspect that the Runewars figures are smaller than the Descent guys.

Two hundred figures at the Descent scale would cover a huge amount of table space. The figures from both games might be the same scale, but I doubt it.

I wouldnt mind being proven wrong though

Do these people have really tiny heads? Or are they ten feet tall?

I would be expecting these to be Age of Mythology sized.

Heh good eye, I thought something looked amiss, but you are spot on, they look like they got some kinda tiny heads on em!

but in all seriousness, they also look very detailed and nice, and I like that they are not all plain ol gray, I know the painters may or may not like those different colored plastics, but for those of us (MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME) who NEVER paint minis, its a welcome bit of variety to the table! so far this one has me wondering if ANY other company will EVER get my gaming dollar again...I'm already behind in my planned FFG purchase schedule, and new ones popping up all the time..sheesh...laugh

They do look rather gangly! Sort of Catherine Bell in medieval garb.

On the other hand, as a longtime miniatures gamer, I've learned that the usual "top-view" gamer perspective truncates tall figures, and from that perspective, heads appear larger.

Although I doubt this was the sculptor's intent (then again, maybe he's smarter than I give him credit for), I think the figures will look fine on the board/tile array.

This thing looks like Bits Puppy heaven! On the list, heaven help me.

I'm actually considering purchasing two games. One to play, and one to strip for components, so I've got some cool units for my prototypes. I've got a prototype in particlar, where units like this would be a perfect fit.

Am I evil?

I'm sure FFG won't mind if you purchase two. Maybe you should make it three for good measure.

I would be very surprised if the Hero figures aren't the exact same scale as those from Descent/Runebound - ie, I think they will be the exact same FIGURES (and probably in a grey color, too!)

That doesn't mean all the figures will be "to scale" with each other, though.
