I would do all the things I have ever dreamed of doing. I would love to become a professional whistler.I'm pretty amazing at it now, but I wanna get, like, even better. Make my living out of it.

Both cards end in open sea this might just be a quincidence. It's still cool though.

I see it, you have to look at the details of the clouds and water waves to see that they actually do line up. It's very subtle but it's there.

Looks like there's actually another card, Pirate Ship, that goes in between those two.

the pirate ship does not fit exactly due to scale, but you can see how the background is very smilar.

Take a look at the player mats and you'll see how they fit together.

as you show the playermats certainly fit together,
but take a look at the island image, where the island ends at the far right of the picture, in oppose to go on in the next.

when saying they do not match i meant the are "not continuous" rather than different images.

Nice catch! Here's an image comparing them:

The technical term for this is a polyptych, and there's quite a few games that incorporate this for artistic effect. For a comprehensive list of games that feature polyptychs, see my list:

It's a work of art! Games that are puzzles: cards with artwork that forms a single picture when combined
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/34803

It's also quite common in Magic the Gathering - see also this article:
