Sam: "Oh bother Mister Frodo! We come all this way, and nobody ever thought to mention to us that the Ring won't fit down the cracks, owing to the fact that its so big 'round. Why, if I ever see that Elrond again, I'll give him what-all for this!"

Yeah. That ring must be quite heavy to drag around in Mordor. Perhaps this is what Tolkien intended with "the burden of the ring"?

Question I have... is the ring and mount doom also part of the CE? That would be icing on the cake. (or is that the ring from lord of the rings risk?)

No, the volcano is fan-made, and I'm not sure where Snus got the ring.

I picked up the ring on ebay. Thought the game wasn't complete without one. I use it as a corruption marker, or for the fate track in the expansion games.

The volcano again is this one: http://boardgamegeek.com/image/219295

I also bought a Mount Doom volcano from "Garzini".
He did a great job sculpting and painting it!

It fits nicely on the board but the fellowship
bases are a bit big for its circles.
Still, a WOTR necessity!

Sam and Frodo attached at the hip? Yeah, that seems about right.

I'm not sure that Garzini is making Dooms for folks any more (he's been very busy lately) contact him if you want the one pictured here.

Another option is this one: http://boardgamegeek.com/image/1011117/war-of-the-ring
