Dear Sith Lord Maxime,
I am truly staggered by your awesomeness again. But to combine it with an accessory so cool and for a game that I love immensely...you are true genius...I would like to become your apprentice.
Glad you all like the project. No plans or file uploads for now since I kinda have of a sculptor's approach when I build these things: I chisel away (well, more of cutting away) at the foamcore and really don't know how it's going to turn out until I put the pieces together. When I try to put it down on paper, I practically have to break it apart to take measurments and so it's actually a bigger project for me to make the diagrams than to build the project. I wouldn't make a good engineer
I did put up this diagram a while back for one of my Battlelore projects
and I do plan to make more of these. I'm just not as efficient and as fast enough to keep up with the projects themselves.
Now back to my submarine that I kinda left at the dock for a while:
I do hope to have some progress to report shortly...
It's very neat, but does it do anything? Does it have a function during play or is it just a cool looking box? I'm not criticizing it, but the transparent arrow seems to indicate that it moves or something.
Also, what are all those yellow counters, cards, and chips that I don't recognize?
Sorry if I'm just dense... I haven't played RftG nearly as much as many of you have and I don't have any expansions.
Second, since we live in the same city maybe you can sell me one of these wonderful devices
Well I’m starting to run out of space to store these things so you’ll be the first to know when I’ll have to part with something

My first thought was that this was actualy something that they were trying to sell. (So excellent job Maxime!)
Thanks! Quite flatering if it momentarily passes as official gaming gear.

The right side "turret" actualy turns so you have acces to the different tokens. These tokens are from the first RFTG expansion: The Gathering Storm:

Yeah, but if you took it apart and measured for us, we could all make our own. You did the hard work of designing and making the first one (regardless of how you did it), but only 1 person has it right now. If you measured and uploaded the info, hundreds of people could have it
Anyway, regardless of what you decide, great work and thanks for showing it to us!
Oh and that blue striping is just AWESOME! It would be great without that, but that takes it over the top into the super awesome category

Great point.... but I don't have the heart at the moment to take it apart . Maybe later when I've used it a bit more.

so, how much do you want for it then?
Haven't had the heart (again, sorry ) to price this project. Maybe if I build another one, but for now, I'm more interested in doing other stuff than doing the same thing twice. But I'll be sure to let you know if i have a change of heart.

That thing is awesome but it's giving me some NES R.O.B. flashbacks...
Well it sure doesn't lag or is incompatible with new cards form expansions. But I understand your comment. You sure don't need it to enjoy a good game of RFTG, but it does make a nice center piece (at least, that was my intent.)
I would pay $30 to $40 for this. Really. It deserves that much (and maybe more). Either way, you deserve the praise from the RftG hardcore fans (myself, included); so, my friend, how much? LOL
