At first glance, it looked like the zombie was sticking his finger in the barrel of the rifle, like Bugs Bunny.

If this were the box cover, I would probably not buy your game. I like the font, and the zombie/soldier are ok. But the white shine on everything looks cheap and so does the explosion + lack of background (sky).

I would recommend you find another artwork for the box cover. AND if you are unable to find a good enough artist for your budget, I would recommend you go with a classy (yet artless) box cover - with a beautiful font/design.

For example; buy a rabbit, slaughter the rabbit - mutilate the head. Print it on the box - with the title. I dunno, it will look gruesome, that's for sure. But perhaps my idea is a bit too hardcore for your game.

I agree with Neontek.

You can find excellent artists on sites such as deviantart.com who can really cook up something amazing for a relatively small amount of cash.

I don't know how much you spent on this, but you could get something leaps and bounds better for a few hundred dollars.

Just saying...

I think a five year old's coloring book might make a better cover. Accually spending a couple of dollars on art may not be a bad thing.

That's what I thought as well! Maybe it was a play on the US Vietnam era protests where the college kids placed daisies in soldiers' gun barrels.
