Nice work. Did a couple of quick plays of this one. Works great as a quick filler between heavier games, although it often seemed to come down to lucky ticket draws.

p.s. I would also recommend using stations from TTR:Europe with it.

The description of the Dice Expansion says 'This expansion requires trains, Destination Tickets and a board map from any of the Ticket to Ride series', so, I think it should work meeple

In the very unlikely event this would come to a draw... Imagine the 2 player game, when each player holds exactly half of the train cards. That is 6 of each color and 7 locomotives. To build the route you must have 14 train cards and 6+7=13 For a 3, 4 or 5 player games these situations would be much more common... Anyway interesting idea that just needs some alteration...

Surely it's always a draw. I can't see anything in the rules to say that you should score anything for a 14 long route.

the points track still goes up to 100 ?

and where's the quick reference socring chart !

there should be a variant where you need a collection of a certain number of wild cards and different colored train cards.

then the game will be faster ! can be done in maybe 5 mins !

and maybe "Eastcape Town" could be renamed to "Escape Town" ?

The Star-Telegram staff writers should give this map a try, they might find it less complicated then the base game.

Kvenosdel: You can print the tickets and cards for "Mystery Island".

Looking forward to your reply concerning the balance!

No. The only way it wouldn't be too complicated for them is if you gave them a spinner with only one color on it, and all 14 trains were glued together.

Also, based on how the TTR scoring system (at least in the base game) looks, a 14-car segment would be 90 points.

It is way too complicated. My 16 year old cave dwelling child of the iguana people just could not seem to grasp the score track and there aren't any grey train cards in the game so we just kept drawing route tickets. I actually won this by playing 14 tickets, so my only complaint is that it is way too simple.

Do I HAVE to use trains?

Can I use Panzers instead?

I mean, Ticket to Ride is ok--but it would be a better game with Panzers or really cool Luftwaffe planes.

Doesn't really matter, I suppose
After someone builds the route, everybody takes the final action, which may include building train stations from TtR:Europe, as jedimusic proposed.
It also matters which side you are building trains from (check the cards).

Okay, now after I wrote this, it looks like I was serious with this map

We have a house rule where you can play three of one color as a single wild card. It really helps if you get stuck not drawing the cards you want.
