Great picture. I like it a lot. I assume that you have a lot of confidence in the bowler. When I play bocce, my friends all hide behind trees because my sense of aim is not... um... infallible.

I used to play this at Grandpa Fridy's house any visit but winter... We loved the clack of the wooden balls, and trying to overcome the roots on the left side of the yard, near the big tree, those always made play near there a challenge.

Unfortunately, beards do not preclude cleavage. Let's just trust the photographer on this one, eh?

Reading these comments, and looking at the out-of-focus elements of the photo again, I hope that no-one takes a fence.

Never give credit to conspiracy what can be much better explained as just rampant incompetence.

It seems pretty clear to me that the subject of the photo is female. The dark patch on her face is just a shadow from the sun straight above her.

This wonderful photo brings me back to many sunny Saturday afternoons riding or walking around Dyker Park and Dyker Beach Golf Course, Brooklyn NY. In those days there were lots of older fellas playing bocce at the park courts designed just for that purpose. And it didn't have to be a warm day, either. They were there in all but rainy or nasty weather days.
