The set up here looks like it has been contrived for the camera.

The first player to get such a large number of troops would surely have attacked with them.

Guilty as charged!

Let's see, at least 45 minutes to an hour invested in setting up the shot, taking multiple shots, uploading to the computer, photo editing, uploading to the Geek...

Sure was a cheap way to get one Geek Gold. I really should be ashamed.

Really, the problem is that very few actual game shots will be anywhere near as useful as an image like this one and many staged shots will often be subject to the criticism stated here.

What to do, Antone, what to do?

Yep that was 12 Power Grid maps back to back over two days. Worth doing, but possibly not in such a concentrated burst.

If sales is any metric, somebody must be playing the game. Risk is not so bad, especially with all the variants that improve upon the original world domination rules, and I for one can not rule out the possibility of playing it again in the future.

But when you have 80 plus games in just your collection, it's just too far down the list to have any hope.

Poor Risk, it gets so little love here.

I like the shot. Good close up shots of the bits are always welcome.
