The photo turned out cute! They are indeed real pieces, and the lady with me was my mum--she was wearing my Carcassonne necklace that day. I think next, I'd like to make a pair out of the Basestars found in the original BSG game--the two-dimensional cardboard ones. Geekitude on multiple levels, baby.
