Not so sure about the haunters. I think I prefer them all black; more menacing-like. But good paint job none the less!

As soon as I'm done with the Starcraft minis (i.e. never) I'll paint these. I wasn't sure about the Buddha figures, but yours came out great; what did you use?

Just a quick red/brown ink wash over the factory color.

No primer or varnish? Does the ink wash alone resist the handling?

I coat all my figures with a mix of PVA glue and water, and then I can toss all of them in the same bag without fear of them losing any paint.

Wrong question. What I was trying to ask is if you apply something (e.g. a transparent varnish) before the wash. Does the ink stick well to the plastic?

I just wash the figures with water and soap (to remove the mould release oil).

Not. My ink doesn't stick to the figure. It's just a bunch of little drops; when it dries, it looks like Buddha witnessed a very bloody battle (which sometimes is the case with this game, but it looks kinda creepy).

That could depend on the ink's quality. Last generation GW's inks tended to do that, but I'm using the more recent ones and they work well.

That's a big problem, since I'm not even using GW ink. It seems it'll have to wait until I'm able to buy more expensive stuff.
