Yeah, this is Board Game Geek, a sacred place. Shouldn't she be in the women's section?

Our most potent and downright nasty overlord is also of woman kind, and she regularly eviscerates the entire party of heroes.

My grandfather once told me that when he was young, all he chased after were the blond girls, but it was only when he got older and wiser, that he learned to appreciate the value, the sensuality. and the beauty of the mysterious brunette woman.

I like the sweater, and I dig the pic.

Man, I have to admit I really didn't get the comment about how she was holding the rule-book. All I could think of was, "Yeah, she's bending the pages and that's going to kill my e-bay collector's re-sale value. And why the heck isn't that thing cut and put in a plastic sleeve protector and then into a 3-ring binder to protect it along with the other rules, and......oh, he's talking about the boobs. I get it now....."

Is he? I thought it was related to an earlier image thread where some girl was holding the rulebook upside down to match the "setup picture" in the book with her angle on the board.

But than again, what do I know about the b00b factor? ;-D

It may be that this is the only way for a woman to post a picture on this site without having her body scrutinized (and openly commented) by men who think that this is perfectly alright to do.

I think there are better things to be silly and amused about on this site.

ok ....... so show me a place where womans bodies arent scrutinzed and openly commented on . other than at at a work place , its pretty much every where , and to complain about people making fun of people makeing lew comments is kinda counter to your whole arguement .

that women are commented about here is not just about sexisim , but also about numbers , the ratio of female gamers to male gamers is really small , so the bulk of the 20000 users here are going to be male from a whole slew of cultures and countries .

and if you really stop to think about most of those comments , without the pulpit , you might see that the vast majority while seemingly sexist are actually not really serious , and make the obvious comments while makeing fun of the issue .

............. though i would totally agree with your point if this were oprah's web site ...................and im sure oprah would to , were she here ..................

in fact come to think of it , there are girl gamers here .............. and i dont think i have ever seen any of them getting upset over the comments on the pics .............. seems like its just uptight guys that get all huffy over it all .

and i'm curious , are you thumbing your own comment because you whole hartedly are behind it or just to boost the thumb count because if its the former i stand behind you thumbing it if you whole hartedly want to stand up and make the big deal out of it , if its the latter then ....................as a show of support i'll thumb this post !

Lol, I appreciate your thorough research before making your post, but fact is that I thumbed it by mistake when trying to hit the thumb count link.

Anyway, since there are so few women on this site, don't scare them away. They may just leave instead of making a stand.
But I more believe that the reason is that women (and men) have gotten so used to these kind of comments that they just don't react to them anymore.

So I'm trying to raise the moral bar on this site a little to conform more to my standards...Of course there are more appropriate threads than this for my crusade, this just happened to be it.

Uptight or not, I think that oogling women is ok, just be discreet, and definitely don't make a comment.

I think what most guys here are trying to say, in many different ways is that the girl on the picture is very cute, and to be honest with myself, so far from all the pictures posted with girls playing board games here, on BGG, most girls are a lot more cute than most nerd-looking guys here And also to be even more honest, this should be no offence to no girl when guys give geek compliments

I am proud that BGG is the place for very pretty ladies around the world, also the ones who welcome gaming in their daily busy life.

Is he? I thought it was related to an earlier image thread where some girl was holding the rulebook upside down to match the "setup picture" in the book with her angle on the board.

But than again, what do I know about the b00b factor? ;-D

I believe that "some girl" was also bitty kitty and the pic was posted by her fiance Matt under Dominion: Intrigue

But it's just as childish...

i spend enough time being a grown up at a job i hate , but i suppose you are right , we should avoid any type of sillyness or bemusement ................... why do YOU play games again ??????

i dont know bittykitty , but if she posted this with any idea of amusment in the manner we have taken this , i'd like to meet her...........

Nice picture.

I didn't read any of these long posts, but I'll bet something profound occurred herein.
