This picture reminded me of an idea I had a while back.
I think it would be cool to create a new stand alone game that takes in goods that were shipped to the old world.
The game could be played by itself, or it could be combined with Puerto Rico as an expansion such that the ouput from Puerto Rico would be the input to the new game.
