teachermaniac--funny, I don't see that guy using his feet...
Oh - I think I see what you mean. There's plenty of Americans using their feet while playing football.
But perhaps I'm confused ... I did play another type of football for about 5 years, so I perhaps I was confused and you were talking about the creative use of feet in that game.
The second pic made me burst in laughter. That's photoshoped, right ? Anyway, I'm no expert but football is about using your feet (or sometimes head/chest) to kick and lead the ball around, only the goal keeper uses his hands (though sometimes the other players also use their hands on the ball and each other, but then they get yellow and red tickets, even though that's the most fun part of the game, especially if they don't like getting the ticket and then they take it out on the judge), while in american "football" when you're not body-slamming each other you carry the ball in your hands or throw it, and only rarely kick it, and therefore IMHO shouldn't be called football at all, perhaps bodyslam or pileup-on-the-human-pancake or testosterone-filled-neanderthal-ruckus or headknocker.

If you mean is the Australian Rules football image photoshopped - no. This is typical of the game here - players regularly jump on the backs of opponents (or even teammates) to make a catch.
You think it's bad calling gridiron football? Try living in Australia where four different sports call themselves (or get called by others) football. Rugby league, rugby union, australian rules, and of course football. However the problem is that most people call football soccer here. I'm doing my best to change this but it's a slow process.
