Wow! What "mom" likes Space Hulk?!? Looks like she was playing the Stealers here. What did she play in the 2nd game?

He he I'm not surprised she won at all.

From the wide variety of games that she plays and the complexity of them, I'd be guessing that she taught you everything you know!

Between your mum and your wife you have a great ready made gaming triangle there. So much more of my collection would see regular use if I had a triangle like that. Kudos!

She played the Stealers both times, she likes the one track strategy (she does better when theres not a TON of strategy involved). She also plays DOOM.

Thanks Neil, Dad is in on that triangle too so I think its more a square, we'd love to add you to it Im sure!

Just when you think it can't get any better - you got a gaming square!

South Carolina and Victoria. Hmm I think if the planet can last another 200 million years, our continents may just about drift close enough together to get some short travel gaming in together. cool

Lets focus on more Albury - Canberra gaming before we worry about including our US friends

Nice pic - I've managed to get my parents interested although Carc and TTR are their limit and they live 6hrs away so you have a happy advantage there.

The thing you have to understand about Luftwaffe Flak's mom is that she can't be bargained with. She can't be reasoned with. She doesn't feel pity. Or remorse. Or fear. And she absolutely will not stop - ever - until you are dead, ahem, er, defeated.

laugh

**Note: I have never met Luftwaffe Flak. Nor his mother. I'm sure she's really very, very sweet, and not an emotionless cybernetic killer.

Yeah, plus any self-respecting mom has already figured out any possible trick her son could pull.

Truth.

I refuse to play my mom at chess anymore because of this. Its already hard as hell for anyone else to beat her, let alone when she knows any gambits you're going to make.

Indeed she was, no mercy was expected, and she didnt disapoint, no mercy was shown. laugh

You definitely get that 'Aliens' feel when playing this game, hundred of Aliens running down the hall at you and your stuck in the corner just a shooting. Good stuff!

I recently played Wizard with my mom. Wait, recently? It was actually two years ago. She enjoyed it, and I thought it could be the start of something glorious, even if we only ever played that one game. And, she's never agreed to play again...

As for my dad, I bought him and my step-mom Cranium one year for Christmas, a fancy one in a tin, thinking it could be a fun activity we could do with them and my girlfriend. We played it, and he just said, "we don't really like board games". Come on, it's Cranium!

Aha! Good call, I forgot to tell her that and didnt notice it. She was using it as a regular stealer, I didnt think to tell her there was one that was different/special. Wouldnt have changed the game play, she had plenty of models LOL.

Well, of course she won both times. Every time you got within reach of your objective she starts with the story of her 56 hours of labor that nearly killed her.

I'd like to see Genghis Khan try and win under those conditions.
