I know the answer: The hardcore gamer was this one:
"Sometimes game rulebooks are meant to be used as a guide - not chiseled into stone tablets as scripture. If using a specific rule makes a game more fun for you, then it is not only your right - but it is your duty to change it." --Rob Bell
“My opinion is that a game has its own life when published, and is really alive when players want to add their own house rules!” --Bruno Cathala
Based on the rest of the photos in this series, I reckon it must be the baby that took this pic.
You got it! I have been gaming for going on 5 years now!
Middle was going to be my guess too. My reasoning was that the middle person is standing, which typically is what the person teaching a game to newbs would be doing -- to allow for easier access to move around the table and point to various game components.
Also, someone stood up that box lid for the picture. I'm guessing the someone was the gamer of the group, and she probably placed the lid right in front of her.
As a side-note: Goodness, just how many Ugg boots do you own?

HA! I was wondering if anyone was going to notice the boots in the background!! I will note none are Uggs because I am too cheap but mostly from Cabelas. We live out in the mountains so there is no need to wear nice shoes out here! The nice part is, no neighbors, no tv and a lot of time to play board games. I think a pair of those are my husbands too.

No tv!!!! Yes!!!! The only way to live nicely (I wouldn't even know where to take the time from)
I guess the middle one standing as well. She looks the smartest. Come to think of it, also, more of my type. Sigh.. how come I never come across attractive gamer girls like this in real life? :-)
Yeah! We (New Zealand) always get missed out of games, either that or our two main islands are merged into one.....at least it means we aren't being Zombieified!
