If you try to do it as neat as you can the result to your eyes will be very nice . After a few minis you will have improved. So when you will finish 180 minis , the 5 bad ones will not show badly.
When I finished battlelore I said wow they look nice. When I compare them with those in runewars I say the old ones look awful.
Also keep in mind that you only really have to make them look good from arm's length. Most of the time nobody's going to look closer than that anyway, so a few minor mistakes will probably go unnoticed.
Just make sure you settle on your colour scheme beforehand. I sometimes make crappy drawings of figures and use pencil crayons if I really need to try out a colour scheme before painting.
What happens if I paint one or a few, and they turn out terrible Do I have to paint the remaining ones in the same terrible colorscheme?
Anyway... Nice, really nice painted, dude!
There are all kinds of ways to take a terrible paint job off of models. There's always the time-honored tradition of brake fluid. If you paint with acrylics (and you should), you can always wash off the paint with brake fluid.
The first models you paint will suck. That's a fact of life. So accept it, learn from it, and move on.
