We are also expecting our first baby and my understanding is that if you are comfortable enough to play a game, you should be at home and not at the hospital. Were you playing games while she was having contractions or were you waiting for a scheduled c-section? I'm just trying to understand the labor process.
My wife and I went to the Hospital one day because she was having fairly light contractions. But the Kentucky Wildcats were playing a first round NCAA Game that day and I needed to take the day off of work. So we went in anyway.
They sent us home that night (but my mission was accomplished), we had our oldest daughter about a week later, while Kentucky was playing Syracuse in a later round game. It was pretty loud in the waiting room, where I was thrown out of the delivery room for wanting to keep the game on...
We were actually waiting for a scheduled c-section, but we know lots of couples who have had really long labors...plenty of time to fit in a game or two...

Every single time we break out a card game at work, whether it's Dominion or San Juan or RFTG or anything else, we get the same question from passers-by: "Are you guys playing Magic?"
