It's worth noting, by the way, that the tiles go really deep into tin: they're thick, sturdy tiles.

Looks awesome.

One of the few games where your supposed to have a "sinking feeling."

Flight of the seabirds, scattered like lost words, wheel to the storm and fly. Fare thee well now, let your life proceed by it's own design. Nothing to tell now, let the words be yours, I'm done with mine.

To seek the sacred river Alph, to walk the caves of ice, to break my fast on honey dew and drink the milk of paradise... I had heard the whispered tales of immortality, the deepest mystery from an ancient book I took a clue.

I hope Boards & Bits gets this in stock soon, I've got a pre-order and an itch to play this game!

Another very clean and refined design - from this easy-to-carry and very well organized metal box to the game system itself, it has very similar qualities that attracted me to Cosmic Encounter in the first place.

[e.g. "board" made of several pieces that could be placed on a table full of glasses and ashtrays (try this with Agricola..); manageable number of solid, simple yet pretty components, strong "gateway" potential etc.]

Sadly, both are on my wish-list only modest

edit: nothing, really... just my private obsession.

Damn! Beat me to it.

Living in Australia has some distinct disadvantages. Games take FOREVER to get here, and the anticipation is killing me.

It is too bad they did not set up the storage to fit the cards and tiles sideways. Placed flat like this they get mixed around the box when not left absolutely level. They could have made the slots sideways with the space they have.

I really like it when game manufacturers go the extra mile and produce a insert that makes sense.

Makes the OCD in me a happy gamer.

Thanks for sharing the pic!

[edit]

I also looks like you could sleeve the cards and they will still fit inside the insert. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed possible?
