I was teaching Race with some coworkers this past week. After game 2 during lunch, things started to click. Without the video tutorial recently uploaded to BGG, I doubt we would have gotten over the hump.
By Friday, after our 3rd game together, one of the players decided to buy a copy to introduce to his girlfriend this weekend. Ironically, he's not a fan of card games. He is also responsible for this photoshop image (made after game 1). He didn't want credit, but I thought it was too hilarious to keep to ourselves.
Just so you know, I'm a Shat man, but this is funny. At least Pickerd is good for something.
What is a "Shat man"?
Trekkies get their panties in a bunch over which Star Trek Captain was better. Shat, i believe, is short for Shatner, as in William Shatner, who portrayed Captain James Tiberius Kirk in the Original Series and Movies.
Either that, or the person is referring to "Shats", a fictitious (and silly-named) line of hats purportedly invented by Mr. Shatner for the TV show, Invasion Iowa.
Looking for a playtester/editor/translator for your cool new game? Contact us, we're free (but we ask to be mentioned in the acknowledgements, and a copy of the game would be a nice gesture, but not necessary).

They've got Troy reading their minds, no wonder they lose all the time...
Ok, so what is the cause of both Picard AND Riker facepalming at the same time in the original picture?
Sicne picards arm is photoshopped and the shades differ I would guess that they don't originate from the same picture.
EDIT: Also Riker drops a shadow on the table and Picard does not.
The original image is great.
The Shadow is not indicative. Riker's body is quite over the table and Picard's is not, except for his arm, and that is ambiguous. Anyway the reflection of both bodies on the table and the shadows on the wall seem to be authentic.
I think they added Picard's head/hand over another body from this one:
Also, according to the shadows there are two major light sources. One casting a shadow behind Riker and a second that casts a shadow on the table. None of those two light sources fits the highlight on Picard's head.
Looking at it closer, I can see the things mentioned above. It was a good enough 'shop though that my initial glance made me think they were the same image from the start
Did anybody else catch the screw up in Data’s dialogue? Here are his lines.
To prepare I have scanned all available literature on parenting. There seems to be much confusion on this issue. One traditional doctrine insists “spare the rod and spoil the child”, suggesting a punitive approach. While another more liberal attitude would allow the child enormous freedom.
Sparing the rod and spoiling the child IS NOT the punitive approach, it is the more liberal attitude that gives the child enormous freedom.

Well, I think the inference in the phrase is that you are supposed to do the opposite. IE, it's saying "don't punish, and the child is spoiled" with implied "so therefore, you should punish".
