An entire campaign on one board! I used book repair tape to connect the individual map boards into one long board. Each map is easily accessed by folding the others underneath.

That looks great! What kind of board are you using here? I like the texture it has. And where do you find book repair tape. I was asking around Hobby Lobby and Micheal's a while back but nobody knew what I was talking about.

And is that the Excuse I see in the background?!

Wow. That is awesome. What type of board is that? I think I might have some of that at home. Great work. I am inspired.

The board is black pebble board. It's a textured type of mat board. I was at Dick Blick's one day and they had a huge pile of the stuff on clearance for a dollar a sheet (normally around $8) so I picked up about five of them. Should have gotten more. They're a little too thin for game boards, but when glued back to back they look amazing. Just cut to size and blacken the edges. I use India ink instead of a Sharpie because it's faster, blacker, more permanent, and smells less.

I found the book repair tape at Blick's also. You really have to go to an art supply store instead of Micheals and Hobby Lobby. Those are arts and crafts stores, and while they have a lot of great stuff, they don't carry the professional quality things that really work well. I will always recommend book repair tape to everyone. If you can't find it where you live, try ordering it from an online retailer.

LOL yes. I should have cleared away my crafting table before photographing. You can see the Decktet, Untamed: A Rummy Revolution, the rest of D-Day Dice, and Chunky Fighters in the background.

Thanks for the advice! I wish I had asked back before I made my MoV and Magic Realm builds. I'm satisfied with the end result but I think the binding tape would have been a bit sturdier then what I ended up using.

BTW, looking forward to seeing more on Djinn's game and Icarus Twins!

Aww, shucks. modest Djinn's Game is coming along. Icarus Twins will be the next project. I hope they will be as successful as D-Day Dice!

Don't know if it's the same stuff, but gaffer's tape also works well with black gatorboard. Gatorbaord is like foam core, except the facing is black cardboard instead of paper and its foam core is also black.

Gaffer's tape can be found at theatrical supply stores. Gatorboard can be bought through professional art supply stores, too.

I'll check out book repair tape...

Great job!

Is that a cigar box in the upper left? Looks nice!

My Untamed set is being crafted by the Artscow Elves as we speak.

Yeah, it's a really old one made of wood with a cedar block inside for freshness. Now I use it for my drawing kit.

Do you know which online retailer carries the black pebble board. I've done some searching but have only found other unrelated items with those same keywords.

Here is the exact product I was using:

http://www.dickblick.com/products/crescent-no-34-double-side...

But I bought this stuff when it was on clearance at a dollar a sheet. I don't know if you'd want to spend $7 for a sheet (or $4 for a half sheet). If you do use it, remember that it's black on one side and white on the other. You have to glue two sheets together (black side out) to get the kind of board I have pictured. I used spray adhesive for that job.

I'm really happy with the attention this image has garnered. I would never have thought I'd see a D-Day Dice image on the front page!

Thanks, Nick!
