For the complete Alex, Seth and Grün, visit http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/44643.

P.S. I know this image has nothing to do with the game I'm holding in my hands (upside down, for that!). However, I decided to choose King of Siam, because I believe it's a very good game that has received too little attention. So I thought a bit of publicity wouldn't hurt it.

Embarrassing how?
Pildid pole ju sinuga kuidagi seotud, pole ka põhjust häbeneda siin midagi. Kuid siiski esimene eestlane kes ka midagi lõpuks ütles. Ilusat suve!

"After all pictures have nothing to do with you, there is no reason to be ashamed of anything here.
However, the first Estonian who finally said something. Have a great summer!"

Now I know that Google Translate has an Estonian version! (though I of course have no idea how accurate it may be) Glad to see you chiming in on this in such good humor, Raiko.

Hilarious and timely, Alex, or more accurately hilarious because it is so timely. I think there are three pictures of a pretty Estonian girl on the front page with yours. Thanks!

I can't believe this never occurred to me before. Well-off single American men are the commodity, not economically disadvantaged young women from under developed areas of the world. Why aren't the MEN posting the ads and saying where is your dowry?

I'm not sure we'll be able to make it to Rome, but my girlfriend and I are going to be on Lido this August. Also, I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I wouldn't mind una vera pizza italiana con un po' di vino. modest

Which Italian Lido?
You must know that, here in Italy, since it means beach where you go sunbathing, we are used to have a lot Lidi. For instance we have the "Lido di Venezia" at Venice, the "Lido di Ostia" here in Rome, "Lido di Camaiore" in Tuscany, and so on!
Then another detail on Italy: with Pizza we traditionally drink beer. cool

Estonian, eh? They have pretty ones. Wonder if the poster is thinking more of Lilygirl or Yominion.

Now, wait a minute! Ioana is cute, but she's from Romania!

Wait! So she is (on both accounts). Why did I think she was from Estonia? I apologize to Romania.

pretty long from rome, alex, some 6/7 hours, I think.
nice to know those celebrities (seth&grun) will be near home (I live less than an hour away from Venice) in august - you won't let them alone on holydays would you? I can't imagine which kind of pictures they would upload here on BGG during your absence from home!

Less than an hour away from Venice? Hmm... get together, play some games, try to revitalize my Italian?

I just got an idea for a new BGG feature!!
It would work like the "Spot The Ball" feature in British newspapers only instead of a soccer photo with the ball removed and people putting an X where the ball should be, you run a photo of a group playing a game and have people put an X where The Nice-Looking Estonian Girl would be if The Nice-Looking Estonian Girl would have been present!
We could make a small fortune here!! Just saying--

Silly me. Ho studiato l'italiano per cinque anni nell'università, ma ho dimenticato quasi tutto.

Anyway, it's Lido di Venezia. My guess it's a pretty long drive to Rome?

Cinque anni di studio non ti insegnano la toponomastica italiana. Puoi anche non sapere che esistono diversi Lidi.

And now let's revert back to english. Yeah, to go from Rome to Venezia is a four/five hour drive. Anyway the offer was for Rome only. You could have dared to try to extend it to Venice only if you were a pretty and Estonian girl. But, in the case, you should have made it in a way to avoid to create a jealous boyfriend. gulp
As long as it regards the pizza, I know a good, cheap, and (I think) honest with foreigners Pizzeria downtown Rome. One minute of walk from the Foro Romano and three minutes of walk from Colosseo, that's to say a perfect place for a tourist. cool
But the problem remains the idea to have wine with pizza! shake

Fantastic reaction to the situation at hand.

Great to see one of the great 'faces' of BGG reacting in a public way to what many BGG users are feeling.

In many ways it just shows how many users have wanted to 'thumb down' one of the aformentioned images... Since we can assume most of those people are thumbing here. And dude! You're close to 1000 thumbs!

On purpose. The thought behind that was simple: it doesn't really matter what game you're holding in your hands. It doesn't even matter if you're holding it upside down. However, with King of Siam it turned out that it's difficult to understand which side is up, so the joke's a bit lost.

Yeah me neither.

But when we had our national election half a year ago, I'd get banner ads here, with the Norwegian prime minister which did feel very strange.

Speaking of banner ads, have any of you seen the "Rohan: Blood Feud" ads? When you click on it you'll get to a page which claims that you'll receive a "free bikini with signup". I downloaded the game yesterday, and while I kinda enjoy playing the game, I've yet to figure out where or how I can find the bikini I've been promised. Is anyone familiar with this?

I was going to add more to that. That holding a box upside down doesn't make it creative and allthough the dolls aren't persons it should be in the people category. That way it didn't matter how the box was held.
but i was afraid the joke was going to get lost that way.

Why have wine with real Italian pizza? I was in Gioia Tauro in southern Italy back in 1990 and had cold beer with real Italian pizza and it was gooooood.

But the reception on the little TV in the restaurant was lousy, though, so it was difficult to tell which football team Italy was playing against. I think West Germany won (vs. Argentina) in 1990.

I laughed a lot when seeing it, but I wasn't aware of the spécific denounced problem. But I did end up on a lot of those pictures recently too (through Geekmod for exemple). Did fit already with the Girl=Thumbs joke, but was even funnier after the discovery.

Good job, and I keep reading your jokes even when I don't even know the game it's about!
