Sure! I actually read about the method on BGG. There is a forum thread or geeklist on using the dip method.

Essentially I painted up the minis using my favorite paints (Vallejo and Privateer Press Paints). I just used two or three colors on each and didn't really do many details on the zombies (for the heros I tried to be a little more detailed).

After the paint dries you "dip" them into a polyurethane stain. I use a brown - I can't remember the exact shade - but the idea is that the stain will run into the crevices and recesses and show the detail as shading.

Also, I didn't actually dip the figures. I found that there was too much stain on the figs, so I brushed the stain onto them. It takes DAYS for the stain to dry completely. I then sprayed them with a dullcote overcoat.

Thanks for asking!
