Such an awesome game. Best of 2010 so far I think.

How did you like the game?

The playing space is not as cluttered with bits as I expected. That game looks almost...playable. I've been going back and forth between picking up Dungeon Lords or Cyclades as my next game purchase but I think Cyclades might get more playing time with my group. Too many bits on the table tends to intimidate them...

Beer is almost mandatory while we play and we have had no incidents so far.
I dare not think of what it will look like the day when disasters strikes though.

As a suggestion, our gaming group uses a nice set of flat-top wooden stools for drinks/food. It works surprisingly well. Oh yeah, and they double for seats when we're not gaming.

I never had any problems with drinks on the table, but the other day my GF spilled a glass over the War of the Ring board (regular edition; had it been CE, I'd be girlfriendless now). She's usually very careful, but accidents happen.

We enjoyed it immensely, everything from the theme to the construction. We will definitely be playing it again.

Meh...its my house, and my house rule is that drinks on the table are fine. We exercise necessary caution, and on the rare occasion that spills have happened, I have been able to clean off and/or fix any parts that were affected.

At other people's houses I never put drinks on a table unless they specifically say its ok.

We've played Dungeon Lords as well, and I think that Cyclades worked better for us. Dungeon Lords certainly has a lot of "moving parts."
