Don't be fooled by these images. They suggest that the game might have nice Euro style counters (like Age of Napoleon) but it has nothing of the kind. All you get is typical, and not very attractive, wargame counters (and some very smelly printing).

Actually, I too prefer wargame counters. And the current counters look better than the pre-release versions above.

On the contrary, I think the final counters are attractive. I also think they are more practical. By that I mean it's easier to see the numbers on the counters at a glance than the concept ones shown here. Likely that's why these were not used in the final product.
