Really? I was thinking it would speed the game up, giving people access to great sums of money to buy Provinces? I haven't played the game a great deal, so I could be very wrong.

I like the action combo potential with this guy. Village, Chancellor, Counting House, then play every copper in your deck.

Of course, actually DRAWING that combo is tough when you keep diluting your deck with all that copper! But, oh well, I can dream...

Golem, Chancellor, Counting House is easy to do. You only need the initial 7 coppers anyway since Chancellor gives you +2.

Golem, Bridge, Counting House would be better since it'd give you an extra buy & reduce the price of every card by 1.

Heck, might be a reason to actually buy coppers since the Coppersmith or Apothecary haven't encouraged me too much.

Pearl Diver might also be a good card combo. Keep putting cards from the bottom to the top until your Counting House is at the bottom.

Even if successful, this is a risky strategy. Most of the time you would probably need to draw an additional card after Counting House, forcing a reshuffle (making it worth nothing).

I think it'd make Secret Chamber pretty decent if you can combo it. Discard your hand and then pick up the coppers you've dropped.

Only if you use it as a reaction! The normal case is: "Discard any number of cards, +1 coin per card discarded."

So play Secret Chamber and discard (for example) 3 Coppers. So you get +3 extra coins. Now play Counting House and get back (at least) 3 Coppers from your discard pile. Available money in total: 6 coins (at least).

IMHO the greatest strength of Dominion is when considering strategy, there are always exceptions to "generally"...
