Slowly, I've found, is the wisest way to accumulate decent figures for all the various characters. There are some terrific manufacturers out there, but none of them carry a wide enough variety to fulfill the entire range. So, I've been piecemealing for a time now, getting the best from each caster as I uncover them and add to the group.
I store everything in the Arkham Horror base game box and the Dunwich Horror box. There was not enough room on the table to fit them in. The rest of the boxes have been mercilessly eliminated. I do not like to keep excess boxes around if I can help it.
I'm already into Arkham Horror, and I love it. I just only have the base game and The King in Yellow mini-expansion. My wistful "someday" is that I will have all of the expansions (and the room to set them up), like Markus.
Ah... yes. My friend has Arkham and we have played two games and finished neither of them (time limitations). I was looking at Arkham for solo play but I'm not sure how long I would enjoy it.
You know what I don't understand about the 'arkham dice' is how do they work with the shotgun? doubles on a 6. aren't the 5s and 6s the elder sign?
If you look at the image it looks like the number is still on the die. You can see a few "5's" but I don't see any sixes. You can assume they would follow suit though.
"You see the unearthly sight of Arkham Horror completed. Make a Will -5 check or be devoured. Then make a Fight -5 check to put the game away or be devoured. If you pass, immediately go insane and move to Arkham Asylum."
