Do you know whether the cloth board comes with the game and if so, does it fit into the wooden box. Another question, can the set be used for the "small" dobutsu shogi version? Maybe the smaller board printed on the back side or so?

Thanks for info
The cloth board comes in the box. Folded that is...
The pieces needed for Dobutsu Shogi are in there, but with somewhat different graphics (triangles instead of dots because in Shogi the pieces are sometimes allowed to move more than 1 square whereas in Dobutsu Shogi pieces only move 1 square horizontally, vertically or diagonally). No board though. But you could play on part of the large board. Fold it as small as the small board perhaps?

Thanks Martijn.
And yes, folding the cloth board makes sense.
Thanks
P.S. Any idea where to buy this in Europe? Won't make it to Essen.

Hi Andre,
As far as I know it's nowhere for sale in Europe at the moment. Shame really because it´s a very good game.
Space. Space. Wannagotospace. Space. What's your favorite thing about space? mine's space.
I just wasted 100 :gg: on this.
This image was formerly listed under the entry for Shogi and was associated with a version there. It has been moved to this entry for どうぶつしょうぎ - Let's Catch the Lion!, the game entry that is specifically for this version and variant rule-set.

But Dobutsu Shogi In The Greenwood (which is depicted in this image) is actually normal Shogi. Let's Catch The Lion is a Shogi variant whereas the 'Dobutsu Shogi In The Greenwood' game isn't...

Yep, Nathan just clarified this for me. I don't know when and from who the correction came through that this is Let's Catch the Lion, but I proceeded on it without the full understanding that there were two different products here that have a very strong visual similarity.
