I tend to make some pretty silly Dominion cards. Rather than post them to admittedly deserving scorn by the Dominion masters on the forums here, I posted them to my blog for the amusement of my friends:
Look at your comment, now back to mine. Now back at your comment now back to mine. Sadly it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, writing the comment your comment could look like. What did you post? Back at mine, it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again the reply is now diamonds. Anything is possible when you think before you post.
Not only a great parody of the commercial but a really interesting card. And now that we have Prosperity, and '10' is the new '7', I wanted to try this card out in a few games.
Even though it's a joke card I do have a question about how it works. If the action card you choose this Old Spice card to be has +Treasure, is that +Treasure still available during the buy phase? For example, if you chose to 'Old Spice' someone's Militia card would you get +5 Treasure during your buy phase, +2 from the Militia and +3 from Old Spice now being a Gold?
Oh, and by the way, the original was filmed in a single uninterrupted take with no CGI. Check out the interview with the creators here on YouTube.
There's a tiny bit of special effects with the diamonds bit, but yeah, most all of it is done with normal stagecraft stuff. There's a "making of" video out there somewhere, that's actually pretty cool.

Yes.
The game of Dominion pretends that you have an invisible pile of Coin chips and Action Point chips. When you play a card which gives you +Coins, it adds +Coins to the invisible stack of Coins you can spend. This is why you can get 4 coins from a Throne Roomed Militia, and have only one copy of the Militia card in play. This is also why you can still have +$2 and +2 Actions from a Mining Village even though it just trashed itself. It's in your imaginary piles.
So yes, you still have those Coins during your Buy phase.
However, if Old Spice mimics Goons, you don't get the victory point chips, because Goons reads "While this is in play, when you buy a card, +1 VP chip." During your Buy phase, Old Spice ceases to be a Goons in play and becomes a Gold in play. This "in play" phrasing is the same reason that you can't use a Throne Room to double the VP chips from Goons.
Look at the picture. Now back at this comment. Now back at the picture. Now back at this comment. Sadly, this comment isn't as funny as that picture. But it can look like it by copying the format.
