Is this in the actual game? or is it a custom made piece?

The piece on the right is one from Le Havre. I'm assuming the other is an original piece as well. Like Denis said Uwe Rosenberg's games have little easter eggs like this. Also on the cover of Le Havre, one of the people are carrying a crate labled Agricola on it.

Finally :-)

There's much more stuff hidden within the games. So keep your eyes open. Those easter eggs are something I personally really like.

Isn't there a table in Agricola on which Agricola itself is being played?

If memory serves correctly, they're playing Agricola in the Stone huts and Bohnanza in the Wood huts.

And if you look really carefully at the Agricola game in the stone hut, you can see the wooden hut with the Bonanza game being played!

(it seems that there aren't any stone huts in the Agricola game being played in the stone huts, presumably from some rural fear of infinite recursion)

Whenever I play that stone hut with the game table it makes me really paranoid the rest of the game -- I keep looking up just to be sure...
