Thank you for the comment, and especially for calling him a chap. It was not as easy a picture to get as one might guess. It involved a sprinting attempted escape from a large wrench wielding railway official.
Do tell which part of the picture is pasted/photoshapped on, and which bits are from your original photograph. Or *Gasp* it is all part of the original picture? I can't really tell even after a very close look. My best guess is the gameboard and train is pasted on, and the chap is part of the original picture.

The photo as it appears was the intended outcome, but after 90 minutes with no train, we headed home. The train is added in.
The fully set up board is indeed sitting on the tracks. We were very foolishly prepared to let the train get as close as possible, before diving away - abandoning the game if neccessary. The train in a real picture would not have been this close.
