I saved painting the dragon for last (along with the Rage Drake, for which I used the same colours). Base-coated with Citadel's Chaos Black spray. Then applied a coat of crimson paint, without diluting the paint at all and using a stiff bristled brush, so pretty close to dry-brushing it (the black that shows through on the dragon's limbs, tail and wings is the undercoat. Then dry brushed orange over extremities, particularly to accent detail of the head. I almost left it at that, but decided to go to the trouble of painting all the horns and nails with a light grey mix, which took all of 15 minutes. I had just wanted to leave the eyes yellow, but went back and gave them pupils - may repaint them at some point. Dry-brushed corners of rocks with grey, and painted the base as per all the other minis. Coated with Citadel spray varnish. Total brush time (ie, excluding being left to dry) about 1 hour.

Looks great, and thanks for telling us how you did it.
I'm probably going to do something similar with mine!

Good - do try it! The miniature looks pretty good unpainted, but with a little care I would think most anyone could get the dragon looking fantastic - it really is a very easy model to paint, owing to a combination of the model's size and the clear, rugged texture of the features. Good luck!
