Most of they are from the LEGO MINIFIGURES sets 1,2 and 3 (those bags wich contains one random figure), but they are modified for the game. If you want to know more, I can tell you the origin of the parts of each character

Have you seen miniFig World, they sell special little stands so that you can use LEGO for minatures.
