Became 1st player by virtue of using the Start Player card deck. Went through 3 cards including player with shortest email address and player with most pockets before getting card that said Player with the most Boardgames (which with my +1000 game collection, I always win!)

Had to pack game up at 11:30 before a proper game end. I had a marginal win since I was the only player who had obtained a Relic.

Players Swave (proper spelling uncertain) and Jose were both first timers at the CW.

Did more typical scenario than last week's game. Only addition was a female assassin who teleports around between several of the treasure rooms each player-turn. I got attacked on my 1st turn, won the combat and killed her, getting 12 ducats.
Chris discovered a couple of turns later that she was supposed to trigger one of several affects depending on which treasure room she ported into. We decided not to backtrack and put her back in, though I thought it would have made the game more interesting.
I amassed quite a bit of money throughout the game, with two gold pouch treasures worth 5 and 6 ducats, and cashing in two different fairly high paying missions. Won by a substantial margin of 10 or twelve ducats.
Don't remember other player's scores.

Did the scenario involving a rival gang of thieves, played by Chris, replacing the usual city guards. Discovered many rules problems, not detailed enough, often vague.

Ermin won at the end with his 'Technognome' character after the rest of us attacked it and lost several times, giving Erwin a couple more treasures and some additional money towards victory.

Game dragged on longer than expected. It took to long for each of us to get our Hobbit characters built up with the equipment necessary to defeat the Dragon and win the game.
The young boy who asked to join our game came closest (don't really remember his name but Colin is as close as I can come).
We had to start packing up the game as everyone else at the Mississauga club had finished up their games, and Abby and Paul were beginning to put away the hall's tables and chairs. Colin did a quick attack on the Dragon just to see if he might have succeeded in defeating it. Came within 3 or 4 combat points of doing so.

At the start, I had 1 Large Caliber and 5 Small Caliber ships, Thorsten had 1 Large, 1 Medium and 4 Small Caliber ships, and Dave 2 Large, 1 Medium and 3 Small. That left me with the disadvantage of not having any Medium ships to use in the various mixtures of salvo boxes on the Open Fire cards.

Even so, I eventually won the game through elimination of Thorsten and Dave's squadrons. I was puzzled at why I didn't get targeted more often as I started gaining the upper hand in number of ships and hand size. It turned out that Torsten had forgotten and/or misunderstood that any victory points a player accumulates in sunken ships aren't counted at game end if that player's squadron gets eliminated.
I think that Dave had some confusion on that issue also.
There was also a touchy incident right at the end of the game with Dave. I had knocked him down to a single Small ship.
He drew and played 1-Reinforcement card and gained a Large ship (the Japanese dreadnought Fuso).
On my immediately following turn I played a Destroyer Flotilla Attack (+36),
and actually rolled a succesful hit on both ships, sinking both.
It was after I finished the attack that he remembered that he had a Cruiser Screen card that would have canceled my attack card. We were getting too close to the close of the game club to extend the game any farther, so I just said that the card needed to played before the first die roll of the attack (as it said right on the card). Dave wasn't very happy at that.

Dave lost due to having his entire squadron sunk so his higher total of sunk Dreadnought VPs didn't count.
I managed to hang on to game end (by the action deck running out) with 2 Small Caliber ships vs. Thorsten's sole remaining Big Caliber ship. I lost all my big ships early in the game, leaving me with just 3 small ships. Spent the rest of the game picking away at Dave and Thorsten while they pounded away at each other. I wasn't fired upon again at all until the last few rounds.

I was way behind most of the game, got lapped once by the new guy.
Made up a lot of points in farmer scoring, still came in a distant 5th.

Chris and I were tied by no. of forts on the board and no. of forts outside our starting tiles. Chris beat me by the tie-breaker of fewest no. of cannons and barricades built.
Turns out I misinterpreted how the distance rule for building forts worked.
Based on the example diagram, I had interpreted distances as being counted only along the road tiles.

Wasn't actually planning on this being a serious contender for being played at this particular Comic Warehouse game club night. Only brought it along to show off as yet another game packaging curiosity. But after finishing a 6-player game of Super Munchkin, Max, Rachel and Bruce surprisingly decided that they'd like to try it out. And the rest of us went along.
The game rules set the winning score as 250. But after about 15 minutes of play, I proposed we go only to 200 and got a general consensus to that after a few seconds of mostly indifferent shrugs. It seemed to me by then that the game was holding all our interest well enough, but wasn't exactly scads of fun either.

As things turned out, Dave managed to end the game earlier than I expected by scoring 7 chips on the 4-of-a-Kind combo for 140 points, for a final score of 310.

Don't remember the precise end scores.
Chris and I both lost 5 points at the last Winter phase due to losing to the "Dragon" invading army card.
Player Red rolled only a 1 for the King's troops roll.
Player Unk. Name 1 (Green) would have won anyway, even if we hadn't lost those points. Red ended up way behind because he failed to build an Inn and Market.
The Market in particular is a must-have building with it's +1/-1 adjustment power to a player's single die/die-group per season.
As seems to happen in some games of Kingsburg, Green rolled high to get the Queen advisor twice, which gave him an extra 6 points. without that, he would have been a point behind Gibb.
(I won a game of this last year after rolling the Queen 3 times)

At my sister Nancy's apartment in Guelph.
Nancy had some really bad luck in this game. She crapped-out on her turn a couple times early in the game and then had a string of 4 or 5 crap-outs in a row. We were using the variant for a 2-pl game with 5 columns needed to win.

Came down to last round between me and Dave. At first, we thought Dave had won by getting the required 10 VPs just before I did since he went first and I 3rd during the round.
However, I remembered that the rules stated that after one player gets 10 or more VPs, the rest of the round is played out, VPs totaled and compared, and any ties broken by amount of gold possessed.
I managed to obtain 10 VPs also from conquering 2 more cities on the board. Dave had more GPs than I did, so I figured that gave him the edge-out win.
Then I remembered the face-down Development card I still had, which was one of the Culture Cards worth 1 VP, giving me 11 VPs and the win.
Dave didn't appreciate losing the game in that fashion.
One rule screw-up on my part, missed the rule allowing purchase of Development Cards until 3/4 of the way through the game.

Play date is Arbitrary.
Played either 1 day or 1 week after my first play w Dave, on one of the 2 subsequent Monday evening Comic Warehouse meetings.
Don't remember who won, thogh think it might have been Mark.
Also might have been a full 6 players instead of 5 but don't think so.
Andrew and I both got our ships destroyed late in the 3rd and final lap by the Space Goats event, Andrew pretty close to crossing the finish line.
