User Summary:

The Time Machine series of gamebooks were created by the publishers of the Choose Your Own Adventure series. The books were written in second person and the reader chose how the story would progress. The reader acted the part of a time traveller.

They differed from the CYOA books in a few key details:

Time Machine adventures only had one ending
Some books allowed the readers to choose from an equipment list at the start with the choice later affecting how the story would turn out
Most books used actual historical topics
