Use your phone to get the numbers that relate to CR Darwin. Then, use those numbers with the weird phrase to find which letters to use.

It's not the how I'm struggling with ... I knew early on that
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): every answer has 'salt' in it, and one should ignore that word
but that doesn't help me solve the actual clues.

You should be able to solve without the last two. Think about all the "salt" and when you need it.

Do you know...I never did get the 1 AM one?
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): Stupid states. Maine, Missouri, Rhode Island, and Alabama don't fit in the blanks. (Well, Alabama would fit in the first one.)
Am I looking for other states? FIND THESE...Indiana? North Dakota? Find the SE? Florida?
